Department Activities
Regular activities

The Department of Philosophy is constantly organizing activities either limited only to the members of the Department or open to the public to further foster a culture of critique.
Work-in-Progress Seminars

The Work-in-Progress Seminar (WIP) is a (bi-)monthly gathering of the Department’s faculty members, graduate students, and invited guests as a forum where they could present the progress of their ongoing research and seek constructive suggestions from peers.  Through this practice, the Department would be able to further nurture the culture of research, mentorship, and peer critical review, as the members work closer as a community of philosophy scholars.  The WIP is an integral part of the MA and PhD programs in Philosophy.  As part of Guided Philosophical Research (GPR), graduate students are required to attend the seminars and present their research proposals.  Their integration into the research culture of the Department is a crucial element of their graduate studies.

The recording of the WIP seminars are avaialble at the Youtube channel of Lectio: A Graduate Journal of Philosophy - UST-GS
