32nd Confucian Night
Ushering the fourth decade since its inception in the year 1988, we take refuge on the legacy of Kong Zi's teachings in our philosophic journey as we continue our long Artlet tradition of Confucian Night.
The Department of Philosophy in collaboration with the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies holds its annual tradition to commemorate the Great Master's 2,571st birth anniversary through an academic webinar. This year's 32nd Confucian Night with the theme "Confucianism and Beyond" will be held on the 28th day of September, 5:30 PM via Facebook Live from the Official Page of UST Department of Philosophy.
We are delighted to have our two philosophy alumni guest speakers, namely:
Mark Kevin S. Cabural, PhD (Candidate)
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Lecture Title: “董仲舒 Dong Zhongshu and Han Confucianism”
Christine Abigail L. Tan, PhD
Nanyang Technological University
Lecture Title:“Li 裡 as Ziran 自然 in the Analects: Spontaneity in the Ritualized Self”
