The Work-in-Progress Seminar (WIP) is a monthly gathering of the Department’s faculty members, graduate students, and invited guests as a forum where they could present the progress of their ongoing research and seek constructive suggestions from peers. Through this practice, the Department would be able to further nurture the culture of research, mentorship, and peer critical review, as the members work closer as a community of philosophy scholars.
The WIP is an integral part of the MA and PhD programs in Philosophy. As part of Guided Philosophical Research (GPR), graduate students are required to attend the seminars and present their research proposals. Their integration into the research culture of the Department is a crucial element of their graduate studies.
